Thong Le and Ngan Tran were indicted for capital murder in the beating and strangulation deaths of Minh Heiu Thi Huynh and her two daughters, Thuy, age eleven, and Than, age fifteen. Ngan Tran, who was believed to have committed the actual killings, took his own life while in custody.  Le went to trial and was sentenced to death by lethal injection in 2002.
