Jesse James Hollywood is a former drug dealer who kidnapped and ordered the murder of Nicholas Markowitz and is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Prior to Hollywood's arrest, he fled the country through Canada and went to Brazil with help from his father, his godfather and his girlfriend at the time. Hollywood lived on Copacabana Beach where he assumed the identity of "Michael Costa Giroux" and claimed to be a native of Rio de Janeiro, and later on, of Saquarema.
United States authorities worked with Brazilian agents and discovered that Hollywood was planning to meet a cousin at a mall. He was arrested by Brazilian authorities in Saquarema in March 2005. He was profiled on America's Most Wanted from September 2000- June 2004 and twice in 2005 after being captured. NBC's Dateline and Fox Network's America's Most Wanted have covered this story extensively.

He talks about his appeals and says that he hopes to be free soon, he as well talks about the book is he is writing. Letter is signed Jesse. Original handwritten 9 x 12 manilla envelope which the letter and printed misconduct material (see below) were sent to the recipeint in is included.
Included is a copy (six pages) of a motion that his attorney has filed in regards to jury misconduct during his trial that Hollywood included with the letter. This being the appeal that he hopes lands him a new trial. Also included are various other one page print outs regarding the misconduct.
