Glenn Helzer, along with his brother Justin Helzer, leaders of a death cult called the "Children of Thunder." murdered the daughter of blues guitarist Elvin Bishop and four other people during a grisly extortion and murder spree during the summer of 2000. The murders had obvious religious overtones.  Both Glenn and Justin were sentenced to death.

Letter is signed in full 'Glenn Taylor Helzer'. San Quentin food menu is included in which Helzer has notated. Original matching handwritten envelope included.

Helzer items are almost non-existent on the true crime market making this letter and envelope set highly collectible.
