Dayton Leroy Rogers, AKA The Molalla Forest Killer, has a long history of violence and mental illness. Beginning his criminal career shooting at passing cars, he stabbed a date at age 19. Later, he attacked two girls with a beer bottle, raped two young ladies and finally graduated to what he is best known for: The murder a prostitute in August of 1987 which led to circumstantial evidence showing his responsibility for the deaths of seven other women dumped in an isolated grave, some with severed limbs and one sliced from vagina to sternum. Rogers was sentenced to death in 1989, but because of Oregon's unexperienced-with-death-penalty abilities, that decision was overturned in 2000 and he no longer sits on death row.
