Samantha Jean Bachynski was charged with first degree homicide for the murders of Scott and Melissa Berels. Bachynski claimed she was under command of her boyfriend, Patrick Alan Selepak, to kill the Berels. She stated that Selepak kept a gun to her head. The couple and their unborn child were killed on February 15th, 2006. They suffered from beatings and strangulation. Bachynski also injected Mr. Berels with bleach through a hypodermic needle. The couple were found dead wrapped in plastic wrap under a tarp. Both Bachynski and Selepak are serving life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murders.
