Nick Harbison shot and killed three people in a cornfield in Pike County, Indiana, on Monday, July 17 2006.  Police say the victims were shot and stabbed in the cornfield, located about 35 miles north of Evansville on July 17th. Harbison is serving three consecutive life sentences without parole plus 50 years after pleading guilty to the crimes.
