Between 1981 and 1983 cousins Fred Waterfield and David Gore killed six women and buried their bodies in the canal banks of Central Florida. Gore was given the death penaly in part because Waterfield turned states evidence and testified againt Gore. In return for his testimony Waterfield was given a life sentence without parole. Waterfield has all along maintained his innocence in the murders. David Gore was executed by the state of Florida April 12, 2012. Waterfield remains in prison serving out his life sentence.
