Carroll Cole, a serial killer and cannibal from Iowa, was responsible for 15 murders over the course of his life.  At age 10 he claimed his first victim, drowning his friend while swimming.  After a young life full of petty crime and frequent prison sentences, he began killing dates picked up and bars as well as his first wife, his preferred method being strangulation.

After being questioned in his final murder, he eventually admitted to being responsible for at least 14 murders over 3 states, perhaps more, as he was normally drunk while he was committing his crimes and did not remember.  He was sentenced to death in Nevada and executed on December 6, 1985.

This personalized bible was given to Cole by a friend a few weeks before his execution and was in his possession up until the time of his death. Bible measures 5.5 X 8.25" closed.
