Bruce, thanks
for taking the time out to talk with us. If you could, please give our
readers a little info about you as a person. Can you tell us a little about
growing up and where you came from.
Well, I’m the middle child
out of 11, Grew up a farm kid from
Robinson, Illinois. I started out south of Robinson and ended up north of
Robinson (Trimble, Illinois)
What are some of your favorite
hobbies/activities?
My
favorite hobby I guess would be bowling, activity would be gardening or wood
working.
You’ve done a lot of driving, where are some of your
favorite places to go?
I
guess I don’t have a personal spot, but I always liked driving from St Paul,
Minnesota to Dallas, Texas and back
What is your daily routine?
My daily routine is crawling up in my bed and
sleeping since that’s all I have to do.
I get woke up at 4:30am for a shot
of insulin 70/30. I go back to sleep, seems like 15 mins but it’s an hour and a
half. The guard bangs on the door wanting to know if you want your one hour rec
time (which is walking around outside in a dog pen). …and then from 6am to
whatever breakfast is served on a plastic tray and then we go to rec. After rec, I am back in my cell the rest of the day. The only other time I get out of
this cell is to see a doctor, get my teeth pulled or to see my lawyer which is
seldom if ever. I have one more visit (well maybe two more visits) to the dentists
trying to fix my teeth Sgt. Postiglione either broke off or cracked to where
infection set in. So I now gum things until I get fitted with false teeth.
What are some of your favorite Movies?
Books? TV Shows? Music?
Favorite movie - Oh God! TV show would have to be Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Little
House on the Prairie, Grand Ole Opry.
Movies, Home Alone (1
and 2), John Wayne(anything), Jerry Lewis movies with Dean Martin.
Books
by James Patterson, Nora Roberts, John Grisham, Patricia Cornwell, Faye
Kellerman, Elmore Leonard,
John Sanford Roberts, Jr.
Music
-
No one, except Josh Turner from
today’s list of stars, but back in the 50’s and 60’s I could name a bunch of
Rock and Roll and Country.
What is your favorite flavor of ice
cream? What is your favorite food? Are you a good cook?
Favorite ice cream is butter pecan. Favorite food
is stuffed green peppers. Good cook? Shit I burn hot water. If it doesn’t come
out of a can or box I’ll starve.
If you were given the chance to fight
anyone, alive or dead, who would you fight and why?
Would have to be Muhammad Ali, he was the greatest
fighter to ever grace us. Why? Hmm…I guess I could take a dive in the first
round and still make money!
What were you arrested for? And what
sentence were you given? Was the arrest just or has there been much said about
you that simply isn’t true?
I was arrested for the murder of Sara Nicole Hulbert on July 12, 2007.
They had nothing on me, so they hired a snitch to say I hired him to kill three
other people (which I didn’t). Well, I got 30 yrs at 30 percent so then I got to
the murder trial and I got 50 with no parole. There was a lot of falsification
from start to finish, and it is still being done in the newspaper.
Before your arrest did you
have faith in the system? What about now? And if not, can you explain a little
why?
Not 100 percent,
but I always thought our constitution was best but not anymore, a lot of other
countries' laws are a lot better than ours.
In many high profile cases there
always seems to be a rush to judgment. In my thinking, authorities want to close
a case as fast as they can because it makes them look good in the public eye,
all the while not caring whose lives they destroy in the process.
What can the people in this country do to try to
change this? Do you think it will ever be changed?
The only way I can see that can be done to correct
things like my arrest is to have the FBI watching the police station
more closely. You have to have some kind of watch dog on police computers. No, I
do not because it will involve too many people having to admit there was wrong
doing being done, and it just won’t happen.
Is there anyone specific
involved in your case that deserves to be named to the public regarding their
actions?
Sgt. Pat Postiglione and Charles Freeman, they arrested me on July 7,
2007, no arrest warrant, no search warrant, they automatically told TV news that
I admitted being involved before I was ever booked, I was never mirandized then
they get officer moyer to use the computer to falsify everything but it still
won’t get me found guilty so they plant a weapon on my possession (my truck),
gun never was connected to me serial number-wise.
Sgt. Postiglione and C. Freeman thought
they were going to lose the solicitation for murder trial so they had me on
America’s Most Wanted two weeks prior to jury selection. Now I have another
trial coming up in Wilson County and here Postiglione is telling the news I
killed someone out west and just changed my M.O.
Upon release, where is the first place
you will go and who is the first person you will visit?
First place is my home. My children and my
grandchildren. Sisters and brothers, uncle, aunts.
Bruce, thanks
again for the time, Is there anything you would like to say to the people who
are reading this? Are you looking for pen pals or people who may be able to give
a helping hand in regards to your situation? Any parting words you’d like to
say?
Not a problem, I
just don’t think no one can or will help because Postiglione owns Nashville and
surrounding areas and he rules it with an iron fist. If he tells you to leave my
case alone and you don’t, you’ll be sitting right here with me.
Sgt Postiglione came from Boston, Mass
where he was fired for violating peoples constitutional rights and being too
rough. 30 years later here in Nashville he has found a home where good cops look
the other way while he defiles the badge of honor. On the day I was arrested he
knocked me around and asked to searched my truck, so I was already angry with
him - so I told him “ no, you get a search warrant”, he slaps me across the face
saying he didn’t need my permission because he had probable cause. Blood on my
thumb (which never was). My lawyers proved it in
court. My constitutional rights – now if I had killed someone why didn’t Postiglione or Freeman do a gun powder residue test on my hands (never done). #2
girl killed was 5’7 116lbs 26 yrs old. I’m 56, 208lbs 5’ 10” or 11”, the
so-called bullet pattern went into the back of this girls head from right to
left in an upward movement lodging somewhere in her left temple …ok…I’m also a
left handed shooter, if I had shot this girl the bullet would have went from
left to right and a downward position. FBI said someone 5’7” or a little smaller
shot this girl but HELLO….here I am.
My wife died 9 months after my arrest. I
want people to help, but also pen pals who actually believe I am not guilty. The
judge threw out the good stuff that would have helped me so it was me against
the lying detectives, crooked DA because they knew the detectives were lying, a
bad (very bad) judge who wouldn’t let the jury hear the truth. FBI
agents ballistics reports, things on that order, just so many things went wrong
nothing will ever be made right for me. I just hope and pray that no one else
gets put where I was put three and a half years ago ever! May God bless you and
people like you!
